About SREDA
Started in 1992, the Saskatoon Regional Economic Development Authority (SREDA) Inc. was one of the first independent economic development agencies to be started in Canada. Today, it is one of the most successful. SREDA works with the City of Saskatoon, the province of Saskatchewan, the surrounding rural communities and more than 200 private sector investors to build and grow the region's economy.

SREDA has four main goals:
- To retain, grow, and expand local business in targeted sectors.
- To attract new investment in focus areas.
- To attract people and enhance the workforce.
- To promote the region as a place to live, work, invest and prosper.
Focus
SREDA will maximize our effectiveness on local economic development by using a focused approach that prioritizes our activities on those things with high impact and high importance to long term overall economic growth. SREDA will focus proactively on the following industrial areas, while monitoring and responding to emerging issues in other important sectors. A concentrated focus on key industries will encourage all other elements of a diversified economy to follow.
